If your workspace is growing exponentially then a DIY Navbar is what you need to quickly jump to important pages.

Let’s build one together step by step.

  1. Add a callout inside of a new page by the shortcut /callout

2. Write the names of all important pages on your Notion Workspace separated by “|” in the callout.

3. Link each page name with the URL of the respective Navigation Items.

Pro Tip: Use the link of the most utilized view instead of the whole database.

4. Check all links and move the Navbar to a Synced Block. Add a Synced Block by /synced shortcut.

5. Copy the synced block and add it to a Project or Team Member’s Template page. This way everyone on the team can use them.

Pro Tip: Give View only access to the team to the Navbar Page inside of which the callout exists, this would prevent accidental edits by the team.

Thanks! I’d love to see your spin on the Navigation Bar. Tag me on Twitter @omnagupta.
